On May 3, 2023, I had the privilege of speaking at an impactful workshop titled “The Challenges of Accepting International Payments: How to Build a Sustainable Payment System for Global Growth.” Organized by the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) in collaboration with the Business Promotion Council (BPC), the day-long event was held at the Glacia Hotel & Resort in Dhaka.
This workshop was a timely initiative to address the pressing challenges faced by Bangladeshi businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs in navigating the complexities of international payments while exploring sustainable solutions for global growth.

Bridging the Gap in International Payments
The BACCO workshop, “The Challenges of Accepting International Payments: How to Build a Sustainable Payment System for Global Growth,” addressed the key barriers Bangladeshi businesses face in global transactions, including strict regulations, high transfer fees, and export quotas. It provided actionable solutions to streamline international payments and align with global standards.
As a speaker, I shared insights from my decade-long experience in global payment systems and legal structuring, helping non-US residents, entrepreneurs, and freelancers optimize financial operations. The session emphasized creating a robust payment ecosystem to accelerate foreign revenue inflows and support Bangladesh’s economic growth.
The event featured expert contributions from Payoneer and BACCO’s leadership, with active participation from 52 trainees across 45 member organizations. It highlighted Bangladesh’s potential as a global outsourcing hub, stressing the importance of seamless payment processes for sustained growth and success.
